    i just got one of these mines the 4.3 inch wide screen i just wish it had a radar detector installed it would be worth every penny i spent on it

    i wish it would give a warning bong before giving directions. that would at least allow you to prepare to listen, especially if you are talking or have the radio on.

    Make sure you select a voice with “tts” or something like that after it.

    My 260 works just like the one without spoken street names…is there a setting to get the module to speak the street names, or does it work right out of the box?

    I have question for those who has 260….
    how to make it say the “go 1 mile then turn right”
    because i just got one but did not say the miles!!! it says only the streen names.

    I have a Nuvi 260 also. Mine seems to work a little better than yours. Much less route confusion, recalculation, and false street locks. Could be a mapping issue in your area. or possible yours utilizes a different (GPS) chipset.

    Of course when you alter your course or choose a different route it can take it a few seconds to figure out what happened.

    Good review though. Garmin is the best GPS available!
